Reducing avoidable environmental impact through proportionate business decisions.

Document owner: Max Pocock, Lead Consultant Version: 1.0 Issued: 25 July 2026 Review due: 25 July 2027, or earlier after a material operating or contractual change Applies to: Managed Services Ltd's operations, purchasing, travel and client delivery

Managed Services Ltd will understand material impacts, avoid waste where practical and prefer effective lower-impact ways of working without overstating results.

1. Purpose and context

This policy reflects a founder-led, primarily knowledge-based consultancy. Its likely direct impacts include energy used by devices and digital services, business travel, purchased equipment and services, and waste. The material impacts of a particular contract will be considered during mobilisation.

2. Commitments

Managed Services Ltd will:

  • comply with applicable environmental duties and client requirements;
  • use remote collaboration where it is effective and avoids unnecessary travel;
  • choose practical lower-impact travel and meeting arrangements where feasible;
  • buy durable, repairable and energy-efficient equipment where proportionate;
  • reduce unnecessary printing, packaging, storage and duplicate data;
  • reuse, recycle or dispose of equipment and materials through appropriate routes;
  • consider environmental performance when selecting material suppliers;
  • protect confidential information during reuse or disposal; and
  • make only environmental claims supported by reliable evidence.

3. Delivery and procurement

Project plans will consider location, travel, venue, digital-service, equipment and waste impacts in proportion to the engagement. Environmental choices must not compromise safety, accessibility, safeguarding, information security or the agreed quality of evidence.

Supplier questions and contract terms will be proportionate to value and risk. No supplier will be described as sustainable, carbon-neutral or equivalent without a sound basis.

4. Objectives and evidence

At least annually, the company will identify practical improvement priorities based on its current activities. Where useful and reasonably measurable, it will record significant travel, equipment purchases, waste or other relevant indicators.

Max to confirm: the first annual environmental objectives and whether sufficient baseline data exists for any public quantitative target. No emissions, net-zero or certification claim is made by this policy.

5. Concerns and review

Environmental concerns can be sent to info@managed-group.co.uk. Material incidents, misleading claims, supplier issues and lessons will be recorded and addressed proportionately.

This policy will be reviewed annually and after a material change in services, premises, travel pattern, legal duty or buyer requirement.

6. Document control

The policy provides proportionate company controls and may require a contract-specific plan, targets or reporting method for particular work.
